On the night of Wednesday, January 22, the Russian army attacked the city of Mykolaiv with drones. Damage to residential apartment buildings and private houses was recorded there, according to the head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim.

According to him, residential apartment buildings and private houses were damaged as a result of ammunition and fragments. In addition, 14 subscribers were disconnected from gas supply, 94 subscribers were cut off from electricity, and 21 residential buildings are currently without heating.

As of 10 a.m. Kyiv time, all public utilities are working to eliminate the consequences of the Russian strikes. The district administrations of Zavodskyi and Tsentralnyi districts are inspecting the sites of the Russian strikes to find out what materials are needed to help the victims.

Late in the evening of January 21, the Russian army launched attack drones into the territory of Ukraine. Russian drones attacked several regions of the country at once.

In particular, explosions were reported in Mykolaiv. Later, the mayor of the city reported that debris fell and a fire was extinguished in an apartment building.

“A private house was destroyed. An injured woman was pulled out from the rubble. There is a reed fire. There is destruction and fire at an infrastructure facility. Rescuers are also working,” he added.

Later, the State Emergency Service showed the first photos of the aftermath of the Russian attack on Mykolaiv. Sienkevych said that in addition to the buildings, several units of electric vehicles and vehicles of the company's structural units were damaged.
