Russia strikes Kherson Thermal Power Plant with FPV drone, violating energy ceasefire - Zelenskyy

Russia has once again violated the terms of the energy ceasefire with Ukraine. The Russian forces struck the Kherson Thermal Power Plant with an FPV drone, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his evening address.
"Today in Kherson, there was another targeted strike by a Russian FPV drone on an energy facility – the Kherson Thermal Power Plant," Zelenskyy said.
He believes that such strikes cannot be accidental, as the Russians know that this is an energy facility, and such objects must be protected from any attacks, as Russia has promised the US side.
"All Russian promises end in missiles, drones, bombs, or artillery. Diplomacy for them is a meaningless word. And that's why pressure is needed – sufficient pressure on Russia, so they feel the consequences of every deception, every strike, every day when they take lives and prolong the war," the President explained.
Energy ceasefire
With the mediation of the United States, Ukraine and Russia agreed to cease attacks on energy and port infrastructure. The ceasefire came into effect on March 25.
However, despite the agreements, Russian forces almost immediately violated them. Energy facilities in Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions have already been attacked.
In particular, on April 1, the Russian army damaged an energy facility in Kherson, leaving 45,000 residents without power.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also issued a statement regarding the adherence to the conditions of the energy ceasefire by the Defense Forces.
Zelenskyy had previously stated that Ukraine is providing the United States with all the data on Russia's violations of the ceasefire.
