Russia strikes Kharkiv with 12 missiles: Residents left without heating
Russia massively attacked Kharkiv, launching 12 missiles at the city. Currently, a large part of the city is without heating, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov says.
“This morning, Russia struck massively struck energy facilities in Kharkiv again. Russia launched 12 missiles at the city, all of them were aimed at our boiler houses, our thermal power plants, and electricity facilities,” he said.
Much of the city without heating
As a result of the Russian strike on heat and power facilities, a large part of Kharkiv is without heating.
“4 people have been injured so far. Also in the morning, several Shaheds attacked Kharkiv, and private residential buildings were damaged,” the mayor said.
Emergency blackouts introduced
In addition, special schedules for power outages in Kharkiv have been introduced.
“Soon, the schedules of emergency power outages should appear on the regional power company's website. However, we have managed to ensure the normal operation of the city's electric transport. Now all the Unbreakable points in Kharkiv are open and provided with everything necessary,” Terekhov said.
Russian shelling of Kharkiv
The Russian occupiers again massively attacked Ukraine's energy sector with drones and missiles.
According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russia has fired more than 70 missiles and 100 drones at Ukraine. More than 50 missiles and a significant number of drones were shot down.
In particular, Russian troops massively attacked Kharkiv with ballistic missiles. Fires broke out in the city and infrastructure was damaged.
