Russia strikes energy sector in Donetsk region: Some settlements left without power

This afternoon, the Russian army struck the energy infrastructure in the Donetsk region, according to the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
Specialists are currently working to restore the electricity supply while taking safety considerations into account.
"The enemy aims to make life in the Donetsk region as difficult as possible — and will continue to do so, especially during the winter. I urge all civilians to be responsible! Evacuate on time,” Filashkin wrote.
Strikes on the energy sector
On October 3, explosions were reported in the Donetsk region amid a threat of a ballistic strike. Following this, the region began experiencing power outages.
It was reported that there were power outages in Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, and Druzhkivka.
Over the past week, the Russians have attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure almost daily. After strikes in the Chernihiv region, more than 300,000 subscribers were left without power.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the electricity situation is difficult to predict in the near future amid the ongoing Russian attacks.
