June 3 was declared a day of mourning in Dnipro for those killed in a Russian missile strike. Over 10 people, including children, were killed in the Russian overnight attack on the city, according to Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov.

In accordance with an order by Mayor Boris Filatov, on the day of mourning, June 3, the Ukrainian national flags will be flown at half-mast on the Dnipro City Council building, as well as on the buildings and structures of municipal enterprises, institutions, and city council facilities.

Shortly after the declaration of mourning, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration reported a new Russian drone strike on a residential building in the city. An 8-year-old girl was injured in the latest Russian attack on Dnipro.

Medical personnel are providing the child with all necessary care.

Consequences of Russian night attack

The death toll from the Russian night attack in Dnipro has risen to 12, including 2 children. Rescuers recovered the bodies of a woman and an 8-year-old boy from the rubble of a 4-story building destroyed by Russia.

Earlier, the body of a child born in 2023 was recovered from the rubble.

According to the Regional Military Administration, 22 people remain in hospitals, 4 of whom are in severe condition.

The victims have sustained shrapnel wounds, fractures, lacerations, and cuts, as well as blast and acoustic trauma.

Among the wounded are 4 children: 2 boys aged 6 and 16, and a 13-year-old girl, who have been hospitalized in moderate condition, while another 14-year-old girl is receiving outpatient treatment.

Among the victims of the Russian attack in Dnipro is the deputy chief of the fire and rescue unit, Major Anton Yarmolenko, who was responding to a call at the time of the Russian strike.

Consequences of Russian attack in various parts of Dnipropetrovsk region

In Dnipro itself, apartment buildings have been partially destroyed, and a business, a fire station, and garages have been damaged; cars have been destroyed.

In Kamianske, an administrative building and apartment buildings were damaged; 3 people were injured, a 50-year-old man and two women aged 49 and 72 were taken to the hospital in moderate condition.

In the Nikopol region, the district center and the Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske, and Marhanets communities came under Russian attack, and apartment buildings and private homes were damaged.

In the Synelnykove district, the Russians targeted the Vasylkivka community, where an unused building caught fire. In the Kryvyi Rih region, Russia struck the Apostolove community, where a fire broke out.

On the night of June 2, Russia launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine using ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missiles, as well as drones.
