Russian attacks on ambulance
This is not the first time Russian troops have attacked medical vehicles in Ukraine. During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, there have been several cases when ambulances have been targeted by Russian strikes.
Such actions violate international humanitarian law and qualify as war crimes. Ukrainian law enforcement regularly records these facts and opens criminal proceedings to bring the perpetrators to justice.
On the afternoon of July 13, Russians attacked civilians in Stetske village in the Sumy region. After that, Russians conducted a second attack, but this time on an ambulance.
In addition, on the night of June 18 in Kherson, Russian troops dropped explosives from a drone on an ambulance. Two medics were injured.
Also, on April 17, Russians attacked an ambulance in Kherson, and a medic and a driver were wounded as a result of the Russian strikes.
