Russian forces attacked four DTEK power facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Tens of thousands of families were left without power.
According to the company, Russian troops deliberately targeted energy infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region over the weekend.
After each attack, DTEK employees restored power.
However, on the night of June 8, Russia struck again. 67 communities, over 30,000 families, were left without electricity.
A fire broke out at one of the facilities. It was quickly extinguished by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine rescuers.
"Currently, energy workers are awaiting clearance from bomb disposal experts to begin restoration work," the statement says.
Russian attacks on DTEK
Russian troops continue to strike Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
In particular, on June 7, Russians struck a DTEK mine in the Dnipropetrovsk region twice. One employee of the enterprise was injured as a result of the Russian attack.
Before this, Odesa came under heavy Russian strikes. At that time, Russia attacked a DTEK energy facility, leaving tens of thousands of families without power.
Even earlier, Russian drones attacked four DTEK energy facilities in the Odesa region simultaneously. At that time, serious damage to infrastructure was reported as a result of the Russian strikes.
