Russia strikes energy infrastructure in Odesa region, leaving thousands of homes without electricity

On the evening of May 14, Russian forces struck an energy facility in the Odesa region. Following the attack, part of the region’s residents were left without electricity, according to a statement by DTEK (the largest energy company in Ukraine).
Despite significant damage to infrastructure, specialists managed to quickly restore electricity to part of the consumers.
Emergency repair crews are currently continuing work at the strike site.
Part of consumers reconnected
According to energy workers, electricity supply has been restored to 12,000 families after the attack. However, around 3,000 households are still without power.
The company stressed that the damage was severe, so full system restoration will take time. Work continues around the clock.

On the night of March 26, Russian drones attacked four DTEK energy facilities in the Odesa region. The company reported serious infrastructure damage as a result of the strikes.
Due to the scale of destruction, restoration work will take a long time. Energy workers continue to eliminate the consequences of the attack and assess the damage.
On the evening of April 8, Russian forces struck another DTEK energy facility in the Odesa region. One of the substations was seriously damaged in the attack.
According to the company, the facility had been hit multiple times before. After the strike, repair teams arrived on site to inspect the damaged equipment and assess the extent of destruction.
