The Russians are copying the successful technologies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, particularly in the field of interceptor drones. There is a real technological race underway in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles, according to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"Ukrainian drones have inflicted serious damage on Russia both at the tactical level and deep in the rear. This includes the destruction and damage of logistics and supply facilities, in particular oil refineries, ammunition depots, and air defense systems," Syrskyi said.

According to him, Russia continues to adapt and, as usual, copy the successful technologies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular in the field of interceptor drones.

"We are dealing with a direct technological race in which the advantage will go to those who not only modernize but also stay ahead. Our task is to constantly improve existing solutions and create new technologies and tactics for the use of unmanned systems," the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine adds.

In August, Ukrainian drones hit over 60,000 Russian targets. Suicide drones and strike bombers remain in the lead, accounting for the largest share of destroyed Russian equipment and manpower.

"The drone line is one of the priority areas. We are actively expanding our structures, forming new units, and conducting intensive training of crews," Syrskyi emphasizes.

Deep strike

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to intensify strikes into operational depth, in particular against the equipment and personnel of the Russian forces. Successful operations demonstrate the effectiveness of our tactics.

Deep strikes are also consistently reducing the Russian military and economic potential. In August, many important targets were hit: oil refineries, military-industrial complex facilities, and production facilities that supply the Russian army with fuel, drones, and missiles.

Development of electronic warfare

"Russia is increasing the depth of its drone strikes. This requires the strengthening of our electronic warfare units. We are scaling up our electronic warfare capabilities and are already seeing results – in August, the number of Russian drones suppressed by these means increased," Syrskyi adds.

According to him, during the meeting, special attention was paid to the analysis of the combat use of drones, as well as the comprehensive processing of large amounts of information. Analytics of drone use allows us to quickly adjust tactics, increase efficiency, and stay ahead of Russia.

Strikes on strategic targets in Russia

The Ukrainian Defense Forces regularly strike logistics centers and production facilities in Russia that supply the Russian army.

On the night of September 5, the Unmanned Systems Forces attacked fuel infrastructure facilities in Russia and the occupied territory of Ukraine. The Ryazan oil refinery and an oil depot in Luhansk were damaged.

In addition, on the night of August 21, drones again attacked an oil refinery in Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov region, where a fire broke out.

Also, on the night of August 13, drones struck an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban in the Krasnodar Region of Russia.
