Russia says it is ready for new talks on ending war in Ukraine

Russia is ready to hold a new round of talks on Ukraine. Moscow "has something to say" and claims it has never refused dialogue, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, according to Russia's RBC.
According to him, Russia has allegedly never refused negotiations. Lavrov added that all previous talks were allegedly interrupted at someone else's initiative, not Russia's.
"Therefore, if our colleagues are ready, I think they can certainly be resumed. We have something to say," he said.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov recently said that the Kremlin expects a new trilateral meeting involving Russia, Ukraine, and the United States.
According to him, an agreement on such a meeting has already been discussed with American negotiators.
Lavrov also said that the Kremlin saw a "positive signal" in the United States' approach to the peace process. He noted that Moscow welcomed the fact that Washington allegedly "takes into account the realities on the ground."
United States President Donald Trump said that a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin would take place only after Russia agrees to end its war against Ukraine.
