Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 26: +1,540 troops, 63 drones, 24 artillery systems

Over the past 24 hours, on December 25, the Russian army lost 1,540 soldiers at the front in Ukraine. In total, since February 24, 2022, the losses of Russia have exceeded 780,000 soldiers, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 26, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 780,860 (+1,540) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 9,630 (+2);
- armored personnel vehicle - 19,933 (+10);
- artillery systems - 21,357 (+24);
- MLRS - 1,256;
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,031 (+1);
- airplanes - 369;
- helicopters - 329;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 20,971 (+63);
- cruise missiles - 3,003 (+55);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 32,180 (+63);
- special equipment - 3,667.
Situation at front
As of the evening of December 25, 211 combat engagements had taken place on the frontline. Russian troops continue to attack intensively in the Pokrovsk sector.
As Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said earlier, the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions remain the most difficult spots. In November and December, Russia's losses at the front were record-breaking.
