Russian drone hits passenger bus in Dnipropetrovsk region, killing five

On the morning of September 16, Russian forces struck a passenger bus in Nikopol district, Dnipropetrovsk region. Local authorities confirmed that five people were killed and at least seven others were injured, according to Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha and Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council head Mykola Lukashuk.
“Five people were killed and at least seven were injured in an enemy strike on a scheduled passenger bus in Nikopol district,” Hanzha wrote.
According to him, Russian forces hit the bus with a drone.
The regional administration head also confirmed that all five civilians died at the scene.
“Seven injured people are currently under doctors’ care. They are receiving all necessary medical assistance,” Hanzha added.

Lukashuk noted that Russian forces regularly terrorize civilians in Nikopol district.
“Russians cynically struck a passenger bus. Just a regular bus carrying people who were going about their business. Five people were killed. Many were injured. Inhumane. My sincere condolences to the families of those killed. I wish all those injured a speedy recovery,” he wrote.
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office has launched criminal proceedings over a war crime under the relevant provision of Article 438 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.
It should be recalled that Russia recently struck Kryvyi Rih with a ballistic missile again, killing one person.
