Russia reveals delegation members for talks with Ukraine in Istanbul on June 2

The Russian Federation will not change the composition of its delegation during the second round of negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"The same Russian delegation," Zakharova said in response to a related question.
On May 26, at the talks in Istanbul, the Russian delegation was headed by Vladimir Medinsky, aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The delegation also included Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Igor Kostyukov, and Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin.
Russia-Ukraine negotiations
On May 16, the first meeting in several years between the delegations of Ukraine and Russia took place in Türkiye. During the meeting, the parties discussed possible ways to end the war. On the same day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Türkiye to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but Putin ignored the call for a personal meeting.
The Ukrainian delegation was led by Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, while the Russian delegation was headed by Putin's aide Vladimir Medinsky.
Yesterday, Russia proposed to Ukraine to hold a second round of ceasefire talks on Monday, June 2, in Istanbul.
