Russia ramps up drone reconnaissance in southern Ukraine

In the southern regions of Ukraine, Russians have begun using 10–15% more drones than in August, specifically for reconnaissance UAVs, according to Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces.
"Every day we detect 200–250 reconnaissance drones in our sector, some of which we try to shoot down or force to land. During several consecutive days of bad weather, there were fewer of them, but before that, the enemy was increasing this component and continues to conduct constant reconnaissance," Voloshyn said.
Russia uses drones against Ukraine
Russia has increased the pace of drone production, which has strengthened not only reconnaissance but also attacks on Ukraine.
Every day, the Air Force records the arrival of enemy strike drones, while on the front line, Russia uses thousands of UAVs.
In response to such activity, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal recently promised to supply 1,000 interceptor drones per day in the near future.
Ukrainian intelligence forces also actively use drones in their operations against Russia. Moreover, Ukraine has employed advanced technologies in its own drone production, which has attracted international interest.
For example, the United States wants to adopt Ukraine's experience in the field of unmanned systems. Furthermore, Ukraine announced a multi-billion-dollar deal with Washington, which intends to purchase Ukrainian drones.
