Russian troops may soon intensify hostilities in southern Ukraine. Russian troops are regrouping and providing logistical support, according to Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Voloshyn, over the past day, Russia conducted air strikes, dropped guided aerial bombs, and shelled artillery in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors.
In particular, in the Kherson and Prydniprovskyi sectors, Russians tried to storm the positions of Ukrainian soldiers once, and also fired at Kherson and the territorial communities adjacent to the right bank.
"Russians are currently regrouping and trying to provide logistics support. They are constantly conducting reconnaissance activities. Everything suggests that the Russian troops will soon intensify hostilities," he adds.
Situation at front
Over the past day, June 19, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 176 combat engagements took place at the front. The enemy actively attacked at the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Toretske directions.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost over a million troops. Over the past day alone, Russia lost another 1,090 troops. Also, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 3 Russian tanks, 7 armored combat vehicles, and 46 artillery systems.
