On the night of May 13, Russia continued its massive drone attacks on Ukrainian territory. The strikes have resulted in casualties, injuries, destruction, and power outages.

RBC-Ukraine reports on the details and consequences of the Russian attack on Ukraine.

Key points:

  • Kharkiv: Two districts were hit. In Kholodnohirskyi, an infrastructure facility was damaged, and a fire broke out. No casualties were reported.
  • Poltava: A drone struck a power substation, leaving over 7,000 people without power. Windows in nearby buildings were damaged.
  • Odesa region: Industrial infrastructure was attacked, and warehouse facilities were damaged. The fires have been extinguished; there are no casualties.
  • Tragic consequences in the Dnipropetrovsk region: 8 people were killed, and another 11 were injured.

Kharkiv

Russia struck 2 districts in Kharkiv.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris from a downed drone fell onto the road. In the Kholodnohirskyi district, an infrastructure facility was damaged, after which a fire broke out.

There is currently no information on casualties.

Poltava

In the Poltava community, a Russian drone struck an electrical substation.

According to the Regional Military Administration, over 6,500 residential and 548 business customers were left without power.

Windows in nearby buildings were also damaged. No information regarding injuries has been received so far.

Odesa region

Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported that overnight, the Russian army launched a massive attack using strike drones against the region’s industrial infrastructure.

Damage to warehouses and utility buildings has been reported. Rescue workers quickly extinguished fires that broke out following several waves of attacks.

There were no casualties.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Russia struck the Dnipropetrovsk region hardest. According to local authorities, 8 people were killed, and 11 others were wounded as a result of Russian attacks.

Over the past 24 hours, Russia attacked 3 districts of the region nearly 30 times.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrove, Pokrovske, and Chervonohryhorivka came under Russian attack.

Infrastructure, private homes, and vehicles were damaged.

Three people were injured. A 16-year-old boy is in the hospital in moderate condition. Another 16-year-old teenager and a 21-year-old man are receiving outpatient treatment.

In the Synelnykove district, the Dubovyky and Mykolaivka communities were hit.

Over 20 homes were damaged there, and two people were killed.

In addition, 9 more houses were damaged in a Russian attack the previous day. 4 people were killed, and 4 others were injured in a Russian attack. Three of them were hospitalized; a 50-year-old man is in critical condition.

In Kryvyi Rih, a business, infrastructure facilities, and a gas pipeline were damaged.

2 people were killed in the Russian strike, and 4 others were wounded.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Ukraine was preparing for new Russian attacks following the end of the Russian ceasefire.

Zelenskyy noted that there had been no lull on the front lines and that Russia has no intention of ending the war.
