Russia massively strikes Kyiv overnight, killing 2: Aftermath revealed

Rescue workers have released photos of the capital following an overnight ballistic missile attack, which caused fires in warehouses and non-residential buildings in two districts. There are also reports of casualties and injuries, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles around 1 a.m. Kyiv time, explosions were heard and continued for half an hour. Sirens sounded one minute before the shelling began.
Districts hit
Local officials reported that damage from the strikes was recorded in the Darnytskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts.
In the Darnitskyi district, a Russian strike caused a fire in an administrative and warehouse building, in nearby parked trucks, and in a warehouse; the fire has now been extinguished. The State Emergency Service reported two fatalities and two injuries, including a child.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a fire broke out in a single-story warehouse as a result of the strike; the fire has been contained. Rescue workers reported three people injured in this district.
Killed and injured
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as of the morning of July 16, two people had been killed in Kyiv following the Russian attack, and six others were injured. However, it is worth noting that Mayor Vitali Klitschko’s information differs slightly—according to his data, there are five injuries in Kyiv, and the death toll stands at two.

"Rescue workers continue to deal with the aftermath of Russian aggression. Information regarding fatalities and the injured is being verified," the State Emergency Service press office wrote at 6:45 a.m.
On July 15, Russia attacked Ukraine with 2 missiles and 122 strike drones. Air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the Russian drones.
There were also reports of an attack on Kyiv on July 14—that night, Russia also launched a strike with ballistic missiles, and the effects were observed in the Holosiivskyi and Darnytskyi districts.
