Russia likely reiterated its ultimatum-style demands in its memorandum. This information was obtained by the intelligence services of Ukraine’s partner countries, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in response to a question from an RBC-Ukraine correspondent during a conversation with journalists.
According to the head of the Ukrainian state, he has not yet seen the Russian memorandum personally.
"But I received information from partners and partner intelligence services about what it might contain. It’s very similar to Russia’s ultimatum-style demands," the president added.
Zelenskyy noted that he would openly share his opinion about the memorandum once he sees it.
Russia hands Ukraine a memorandum
Ukrainian and Russian officials held the second round of negotiations in Istanbul today, June 2.
According to sources cited by RBC-Ukraine, the Russian delegation, through Turkish intermediaries, delivered its memorandum to Ukraine, outlining Russia’s vision for ending the war.
The head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, said that the memorandum consists of two parts. The first part concerns a "long-term peace," and the second part addresses a ceasefire.
