Russian forces overnight used strike drones to attack an energy facility in the Odesa region. As a result of the attack, several fires broke out, according to Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper.

"Odesa region endured another enemy attack by strike UAVs overnight, aimed at destroying the region's civilian, energy, and transport infrastructure," Kiper said.

According to him, most enemy aerial targets were destroyed by air defense forces, but damage to an energy facility was reported.

Two private houses nearby were also damaged, and the windows and doors of an administrative building were blown out. Fires that broke out were promptly extinguished by rescuers. No reports of casualties or injuries have been received.

According to the State Emergency Service (DSNS), a Ukrzaliznytsia firefighting train (the Ukrainian state railway company), more than 50 firefighters, and 13 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

Russian strikes on Odesa and the region

Odesa region has long been under constant attacks by Russian forces, and the past week has further confirmed the intensity of these strikes.

Yesterday, December 10, Russian forces used drones to attack an infrastructure facility in the Odesa region overnight, and a fire erupted as a result of the massive strike.

Odesa region also came under attack by Russian drones overnight on November 27. Two residential buildings, an equestrian sports club, and a gas station were damaged.

The region also suffered a massive drone attack overnight on November 25. Several fires broke out during the strikes, and people were injured.

The day before, Russian forces also carried out a powerful drone attack on the Odesa region. The strikes caused new damage to civilian and energy infrastructure. Fires broke out at ports and energy facilities in some areas, damaging equipment.
