On Monday, May 4, between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Kyiv time, the Russian army carried out a strike using an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 88 attack drones, according to a statement from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

"According to preliminary data, air defense shot down or suppressed 70 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, as well as Parodiya-type decoy drones in the east, north, and south of the country," the statement said.

It is noted that hits by a ballistic missile and 14 attack drones were recorded.

Attacks on Ukraine

Over the past week, Russian forces carried out 15 strikes on 11 gas stations in Kharkiv. Almost all of the attacks targeted gas facilities located at the stations.

On Sunday, May 3, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using various types of weapons, including attack drones and missiles.

Civilian infrastructure and residential areas came under enemy fire. In particular, during the day, Russia struck Dnipro with missiles, damaging a dormitory. It was later reported that more than 10 people were injured in the city, and there was also one fatality.

In addition, the Russian army struck Zaporizhzhia, where a fire broke out. A child was among those injured.
