Russia launches massive strike on coal mine in Dnipropetrovsk region: One person killed

On the night of August 17, Russian drones launched a massive attack on one of DTEK's coal mines in the Dnipropetrovsk region. One person was killed, and another was injured in the strike, according to DTEK (the largest private investor and energy company in Ukraine).

On August 17, Russian drones launched a large-scale attack on the site of one of DTEK's coal mines in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
A company employee was killed in the strike.
Another person was injured and received medical assistance.
"The attack caused significant damage to the company's infrastructure. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed," the company said.
In recent days, Ukraine's Defense Forces have halted Russian offensive operations on several sections of the front line, including the Sumy, Kharkiv, Kupiansk and Sloviansk directions.
Despite attempts to advance, Russian forces have made no confirmed gains.
Meanwhile, overnight on August 17, Russia struck Sumy, killing two people and injuring another.
Residential buildings and non-residential facilities in the city came under attack.
