Russia launches drone strike on Odesa in Ukraine, with residential high-rise hit

Russian attack drones targeted the Odesa region of Ukraine on the evening of July 12. Authorities reported strikes on a residential building and a commercial property in the Odesa district, while information about possible casualties is still being verified, Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said.
Russian forces continued their drone attack on the Odesa region. According to preliminary information, one drone struck the upper floors of a multi-story apartment building in the Odesa district. Another drone damaged the roof of a construction hypermarket.
According to an RBC-Ukraine correspondent, the residential building is located in the Raiduzhnyi residential complex, which is geographically within the city of Odesa but is administratively part of the Odesa district. The damaged commercial property is the Epicentr home improvement hypermarket.
The strikes sparked fires, but they have already been extinguished. Authorities are continuing to assess the extent of the damage and determine whether there were any casualties.

Notably, on the morning of July 11, Russian troops launched a missile strike on Odesa. According to Odesa Regional Military Administration chief Oleh Kiper, two people were killed in the attack. Another victim, a 24-year-old man, suffered shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized.
