Russia launched nearly 100 drones at Ukraine overnight: How air defenses responded

On the night of November 23, Russia again attacked Ukraine, using 98 strike drones. Most were shot down, according to the Ukrainian Air Force Telegram.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force Telegram, from 7:00 p.m. on November 22 until the morning of November 23, Russia launched 98 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types, from the directions of Orel, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Chauda in Crimea. About 60 of them were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by air defense missile units, electronic warfare and drone units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Preliminary data shows that as of 8:30 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 69 enemy drones, including Shaheds, Gerberas, and other types across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
Strikes by 27 strike drones were confirmed at 12 locations.
"The attack continues, with several enemy drones in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force warned.
Ukraine under attack
On the night of November 23, Russia targeted Dnipro and the surrounding region with strike drones, causing fires in an apartment building and a private home.
On the evening of November 22, Russia again attacked Zaporizhzhia. The strike damaged an ATB supermarket, residential buildings, and there are reports of casualties.
According to the Air Force, on the night of November 22, the enemy launched one Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea and 104 strike drones, including Shahed and Gerbera. Air defenses shot down or suppressed 89 enemy drones across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
In particular, Russian forces attacked Dnipropetrovsk region with strike drones, causing fires, damaging power lines, and injuring civilians.
Russia also targeted the Orlivka border checkpoint with strike drones on the border with Romania.
