Russia kills couple in airstrike on Ukraine's Kharkiv region

A 47-year-old man and his 42-year-old wife, who worked in the police, were killed in a Russian airstrike on Izium, Kharkiv region, reports the Kharkiv Regional Police.
On December 20, around 3:40 PM Kyiv time, Russian forces struck the city of Izium using guided aerial bombs.
The attack damaged the site of a non-operational industrial enterprise, a café building, the city Palace of Culture, a multi-apartment residential building, and civilian vehicles. A private house was completely destroyed.
The man and woman were killed. Additionally, a 64-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction and received medical assistance.
"Investigation-operational teams, explosives experts, and other specialized services are working at the scenes. Police officers are inspecting the areas, documenting the results of the shelling, and collecting evidence," the police post said.
Russian strikes on Ukraine's Kharkiv region
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on December 20, Russian forces carried out several strikes on Izium using guided aerial bombs. One bomb hit a private property, destroying the house, while nearby private homes and apartment buildings were also damaged.
Previously, on December 18, Russian forces hit the village of Blahodativka in the Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region, with a guided aerial bomb, killing a 22-year-old man and injuring four others.
Additionally, on Friday, December 12, around 11:40 AM Kyiv time, Russian forces struck a gas station in the Kharkiv region with a drone. Six civilians were injured, including one in serious condition, and the gas station was destroyed.
