Russian airstrike kills two in Ukraine's Kharkiv region

In Izium, Kharkiv region, rescuers recovered the bodies of two people from a private home destroyed by a Russian aerial bomb. Earlier, on December 20, Russian forces dropped several bombs on the city, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The SES said that on the afternoon of December 20, Russian forces struck Izium with multiple guided aerial bombs. One bomb hit a private property, destroying the house, while nearby private homes and apartment buildings were also damaged.
"During emergency rescue operations, rescuers recovered the bodies of two deceased individuals — a man and a woman. Another person was injured. Rescuers also managed to save a household dog," the SES said.
The SES added that 13 rescuers and two units of SES equipment worked to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack. Photos and videos from the site were released.
Earlier, on December 18, Russian forces hit the village of Blahodativka in the Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region, with a guided aerial bomb, killing a 22-year-old man and injuring four others.
Additionally, on Friday, December 12, around 11:40 AM Kyiv time, Russian forces struck a gas station in the Kharkiv region with a drone. Six civilians were injured, including one in serious condition, and the gas station was destroyed.
