Russia kills child in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region with drone attack

On the night of Tuesday, April 29, Russia attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones and killed a 12-year-old girl, hospitalized her sister, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.
A Russian drone struck a residential building in the Samarivskyi district. Children were trapped under the rubble.
"Residents pulled out one child on their own, but the girl born in 2012 unfortunately died on the way to the hospital," the rescuers said.
Another child, born in 2019, was rescued by rescuers and handed over to doctors. Their parents were also injured, but refused to be hospitalized.
Lysak said that a private house and an outbuilding were partially destroyed during the Russian attack. Another house and a garage were damaged.

The Russians attacked Kyiv and its region with over a dozen drones.
"As a result of a Russian nighttime drone attack, 11 Russian drones were spotted in the vicinity of Kyiv and the airspace of the capital. Of these, 9 were destroyed by air defense systems, 2 were lost by radar," the statement said.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of April 29, 2025, from 11 p.m. Kyiv time on April 28, Russia attacked with 100 attack drones and other types of imitation drones.
