Two Russian ships carrying Kalibr cruise missiles were spotted in the Black Sea on the morning of June 1, according to the Ukrainian Navy.

According to the military, as of 6:00 AM Kyiv time Sunday, two Russian ships carrying Kalibr cruise missiles are present in the Black Sea, capable of firing up to 12 missiles.

There are no ships in the Sea of Azov. In the Mediterranean Sea, there are three Russian ships, one of which carries Kalibr missiles with a total salvo of up to 8 missiles.

Over the past day, for Russian interests, passage through the Kerch Strait was made by:

  • 4 vessels entering the Black Sea, three of which continued toward the Bosporus Strait;

  • 8 vessels entering the Sea of Azov, six of which came from the Bosporus.

Night attack on Ukraine

Yesterday evening, the Russian army launched groups of strike drones over Ukrainian territory. Around 2:00 AM Kyiv time on Sunday, June 1, Russia also carried out ballistic missile strikes, with explosions reported in Kyiv.

Later, Kyiv’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, reported air defense activity in the capital, which was under drone attack at the time.

Additionally, Russia massively attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones, damaging private homes and critical infrastructure. One person was reported injured. More details are available in the RBC-Ukraine report.
