In the night of April 19, Russia attacked Ukraine with 236 strike drones from various directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down the majority of the enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

From 17:30 on April 18 to the morning of April 19, the Russians attacked with 236 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), Donetsk (temporarily occupied territory), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied territory of Crimea).

About 150 of the launched drones were Shaheds.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense had shot down or jammed 203 enemy drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.

32 strike drones were recorded hitting 18 locations, and debris fell at 8 locations.

"The attack is ongoing, enemy unmanned aerial vehicles are in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force warned.

Attacks on Ukraine

Recall that Russian forces carried out a mass drone attack on Chernihiv on the night of April 19. There are reports of casualties and damaged buildings in the city.

On the evening of April 18, Kharkiv came under enemy fire. Russian forces launched a missile strike on the central part of the city.

On the night of April 18, Russia attacked Ukraine with 219 strike drones from seven directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 190 enemy drones.

At the same time, the enemy struck a critical energy facility in the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region, leaving 380,000 consumers without electricity.

Russian forces also hit a private residential house in the city of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv region, with a drone.

In addition, Russian troops attacked residential areas of Zaporizhzhia with drones. One person was reported injured and fires broke out.

Russia also carried out a targeted strike on port infrastructure and logistics in Odesa region, causing a fire, damage, and one casualty.
