On the night of April 26, Russia attacked Ukraine with 144 strike drones from six directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down the majority of the enemy UAVs, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

From 18:00 on April 25 to the morning of April 26, Russian forces attacked with 144 strike drones of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of UAVs from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk.

Nearly 100 of the launched drones were Shaheds.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 124 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types across the north, south, and east of the country.

Impacts of 19 strike drones were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at 6 locations.

Attacks on Ukraine

Recall that this morning, April 26, Chernihiv came under attack by enemy UAVs. As a result of drone debris falling, fires broke out in private houses across the city.

On the night of April 25, Russian forces carried out a combined strike on Ukraine's critical infrastructure using strike drones and missiles.

In particular, Dnipro was subjected to a massive Russian attack yesterday that lasted more than 20 hours. The occupiers struck the city in several waves using missiles and drones. The attacks hit residential buildings, energy facilities, and civilian infrastructure.
