Russia hits Poltava Naftogaz facilities: Destruction confirmed

On the night of February 8, Russian forces struck Naftogaz facilities in Poltava region with drones. There were direct hits and damaged equipment.
This was reported by the press service of Naftogaz, the Telegram channel of the head of Poltava Regional Military Administration Vitalii Diakivnych, and the State Emergency Service (DSNS).
According to the regional head, in the Myrhorod district, several facilities of one of the company’s enterprises caught fire due to direct hits and falling drone debris. The fires have been extinguished, and no one was injured.
"Last night, Russia struck Naftogaz facilities in Poltava region again. There were hits and equipment damage. The most important thing is that no one was harmed," Naftogaz reported.
DSNS units are working on site. Emergency crews, technical teams, and all relevant departments are operating in enhanced mode to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
This is already the 19th deliberate strike on Naftogaz facilities since the beginning of the year.
"Despite the constant threat, we remain focused on employee safety and restoring infrastructure to keep the energy system resilient," the company added.

Shelling of Ukraine
It should be recalled that on the night of February 8, Russia attacked Ukraine with 101 strike drones from five directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 69 enemy UAVs.
At the same time, 32 strike drones hit 13 locations, and debris fell in one additional location.
Late on February 7, Russian occupation forces once again attacked civilians in Kherson. The city's Korabelnyi district came under a massive strike from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Three women sustained injuries of varying severity.
Russian forces also targeted railway infrastructure in Chernihiv region, resulting in the cancellation of several train services.
At dawn on February 8, Russian troops struck Kramatorsk in Donetsk region. The attack left one person dead and others injured, and damaged residential buildings.
In the morning of February 8, explosions were heard in Lviv region amid a Shahed drone attack. Russian forces attempted to target critical infrastructure.
