Russia fires ballistic missiles and drones at Ukraine in overnight attack

On the night of June 26, Russia attacked Ukraine with seven Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 189 drones. Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down most of the aerial targets, but some strikes got through, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.
The enemy attacked with seven Iskander-M ballistic missiles targeting the Kyiv and Poltava regions, launched from the Bryansk and Kursk regions, as well as 189 strike drones, including jet-powered Shahed drones, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones launched from Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, Donetsk in the temporarily occupied territories, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 177 targets, including three Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 174 enemy drones over the north, south, center, and east of the country.
Four ballistic missiles and 11 strike drones hit targets at 12 locations, while debris from intercepted targets fell at six locations.
"The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the airspace. Please follow safety rules!" the Air Force warned.
Attack on Ukraine
On the night of June 26, Russian forces attacked the Odesa region. Energy infrastructure came under attack, causing power supply problems.
Explosions were also reported overnight in Kremenchuk and Poltava.
Russia attacked Kremenchuk with drones and ballistic missiles. The enemy targeted industrial facilities, and the city is currently experiencing partial power outages.
