Russia fires 64 missiles and drones at Ukraine: Commander-in-Chief reports number intercepted
Russia fired 64 missiles and drones at Ukraine. Air Defense Forces shot down 44 targets, according to Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
He noted that the enemy had carried out several strikes on the territory of Ukraine since the evening. In total, the Russians launched 64 air attack weapons at Ukraine:
- 20 Shaheds (Chauda - Crimea);
- 29 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles from ten Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft (launches - Engels, Caspian Sea)
- 4 Kh-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 bombers (launch area - Sevastopol, Kursk)
- 3 Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles from carriers in the Black Sea (launch area - Novorossiysk);
- 3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launches from Cape Tarkhankut - Crimea, Voronezh region - Russia)
- 5 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles (launch area - Belgorod region - Russia).
Ukraine's air defense shot down 44 targets: 26 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles, three Kalibr cruise missiles, and 15 Shaheds.
Anti-aircraft missile troops and fighter aircraft of the Air Force, units of mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and electronic warfare equipment were used to repel the attack.
Russian massive attack on Ukraine
At night, Russians attacked Ukraine with drones. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russian occupiers launched 15 drones, 12 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense. In the morning it became known that the occupiers also fired missiles from Tu-95MS.
Mykolaiv came under a Russian drone and missile attack today. At least 20 houses were damaged, and there was a casualty.
In Kyiv, explosions were heard in the morning, and Russian rockets attacked the city. A high-rise building caught fire in the Holosiivskyi district, and power grids were damaged on the left bank. There are victims.
An industrial facility was hit in Drohobych, Lviv region.
