Russia destroys WHO warehouse in Ukraine's Dnipro, medicine for front line lost

Russian Federation attacked and destroyed a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse in Dnipro city in Ukraine, where medical supplies were stored, according to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
WHO chief says the warehouse in Dnipro was attacked and destroyed last Friday. No casualties have been reported so far.
Earlier that day, a WHO staff member and drivers helping to evacuate the supplies were working at the site. The team managed to remove 130 of approximately 300 pallets and leave the premises before the strike.

The warehouse contained humanitarian medical supplies intended for healthcare facilities on the front line, primarily WHO emergency medical kits.
Tedros Ghebreyesus stressed that attacks on medical facilities must stop. Otherwise, people will be left without vital assistance.
"Even wars have rules. One of those is that health must be protected!" he said.
As previously reported, this is not the first Russian strike on humanitarian facilities belonging to international organizations in Dnipro city.
In July, a UN World Food Programme warehouse in the city was attacked by drones four times in a single day. At the time, it was the seventh incident in three months in which clearly marked WFP facilities in Ukraine had been damaged.
