This morning, November 30, Russian warships were spotted on combat duty in the Black Sea. While these vessels are equipped to carry missiles, no Kalibr cruise missiles were detected on board, reports the Ukrainian Navy.

According to the Ukrainian military, two Russian vessels capable of carrying Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles are currently present in the Black Sea.

However, the number of missiles on board is reported to be zero.

Additionally, no Russian ships have been detected in the Sea of Azov today. Similarly, there are no Russian vessels in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Ukrainian Navy reported that in the past 24 hours, the following vessel movements through the Kerch Strait were recorded in Russia’s interests:

  • to the Black Sea - 3 ships, none of which continued towards the Bosphorus Strait.
  • to the Sea of Azov - 11 ships, 7 of which came from the Bosphorus Strait.

The Navy also noted that Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems (AIS), a practice that has become routine.

Earlier reports indicated that during a massive combined attack on Ukrainian territory on November 28, Russian forces used Kalibr missiles armed with cluster munitions.

In a comment to RBC-Ukraine, military expert and retired Ukrainian Armed Forces major Oleksii Hetman stated that Kalibr missiles equipped with cluster submunitions pose a dual threat.
