Putin spends 3 hours in critical negotiations with Trump’s team - Media

US President's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have concluded negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin. The meeting lasted more than three hours, according to multiple Russian state media outlets.
According to the information, Witkoff and Kushner left Kremlin territory after more than 2.5 hours of talks with Putin. Overall, the meeting lasted over three hours.
At the beginning of the negotiations, the leader stated that since the morning of September 5, Russia had not struck Kyiv. At the same time, he denied the existence of agreements with Ukraine on a broader cessation of strikes for a three-day period.
According to Putin, the Ukrainian side had called for a three-day ceasefire, but Moscow allegedly had not concluded such agreements with Kyiv.
He also stated that the Russian side found it comfortable to work with Witkoff and Kushner. At the same time, the Kremlin leader noted that contacts with American representatives allegedly bring benefits, and during the meeting he planned to discuss with them all modalities of settling the war against Ukraine.
Witkoff, for his part, called his conversation with Putin one of the best and most memorable moments of his life.
After the conclusion of negotiations, the American representatives left the Kremlin. It is expected that on September 6, Witkoff and Kushner will continue their contacts in Kyiv.
Resumption of negotiations
As is known, American representatives traveled to Russia attempting to bring peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to a new level.
In connection with Kushner and Witkoff's visit, the US called on the parties to cease mutual shelling for three days, but the Kremlin refused to comply with the request.
On the morning of September 5, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia had attacked Kyiv and Boryspil airports, where Trump's envoys could have flown in.
