Russia deploys missile carrier in Black Sea: Possible salvo of Kalibr missile named
Russian ships were spotted in the Black Sea this morning, November 18, having been deployed by Russia to combat duty. These vessels are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, reports the Ukrainian Navy.
The military clarified that this enemy naval group in the Black Sea is capable of launching up to 8 Kalibr cruise missiles in a single salvo during a missile strike.
At the same time, no enemy ships have been observed in the Sea of Azov.
The Ukrainian Naval Forces also informed that there are three Russian ships in the Mediterranean Sea, which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, capable of launching up to 24 missiles in total.
Additionally, the military's report states that over the past 24 hours, the following ships moved through the Kerch Strait in Russia's interests:
- to the Black Sea - 4 ships, 3 of which continued towards the Bosporus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov - 10 ships, 1 of which was coming from the Bosporus Strait.
On the morning of November 17, Russian forces launched 90 drones and 120 missiles during a massive combined strike on Ukraine, among which were Kalibr missiles, launched from the Black Sea.
Additionally, the Ukrainian Navy reported that on Sunday morning, there were 4 Russian missile carriers in the Black Sea, capable of launching a total salvo of up to 24 Kalibr missiles.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force Command, during the defense against the attack, the air defense forces shot down a total of 144 enemy targets, including Kalibr missiles.
