Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed that Moscow and Washington have allegedly resolved all differences in negotiations on Ukraine, according to Russian media.

According to him, after US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, visited Moscow, the parties confirmed that they would "remain within the framework of the agreements" reached in Alaska.

"The essence of these agreements is that Ukraine must return to the non-aligned, neutral, and non-nuclear foundations of its statehood," Lavrov said.

Moreover, according to him, Moscow has allegedly handed over new proposals to Washington on "collective security guarantees," which envisage the conclusion of a "long-term and sustainable peace package" for all parties.

Lavrov said that the European Union has supposedly failed in its efforts against Russia and is now speculating about peace negotiations. The Russian official claimed that a large volume of disinformation allegedly complicates negotiations and hinders the implementation of Trump's initiatives.

Peace plan for Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelenskyy held meetings in London with the leaders of the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. After the talks, he stated that national security advisers of the four countries are working on an updated version of the US peace plan, which was brought to London by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.

According to the president, Ukraine, together with its European partners and the United States, is currently discussing three key documents within the framework of the peace initiative: a framework document, a security guarantees agreement, and a document outlining the principles of post-war reconstruction.

Ukraine and European countries plan to prepare an updated version of the document with their own vision for ending the war.

At the same time, it is known that Ukraine and the United States have not yet reached an agreement on the territorial issue. According to sources, Washington is trying to push Kyiv toward concessions regarding Donbas, but the Ukrainian side rejects such proposals.

RBC-Ukraine also reported that European leaders, including Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron, will meet in Germany on December 15 to discuss further steps regarding the peace plan for Ukraine.

According to media reports, Ukraine has already submitted its step-by-step response to the Trump administration's latest draft of the American peace plan.
