Yesterday, December 10, Ukraine sent US President Donald Trump's administration its step-by-step response to the latest draft of the American peace plan, reports Axios.

According to the media's sources, the updated version of the agreement was sent to the American side, namely Jared Kushner, by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's national security adviser and chief negotiator Rustem Umerov.

The Ukrainian official said the response contains comments and proposed amendments to make it all feasible.

The Ukrainians sent their response to the US after several days of consultations with their European allies, mainly the E3 countries (UK, France, and Germany).

The Ukrainian response contains new ideas for resolving such contentious issues as the future of the territories and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

A Ukrainian official also told the media that senior US and Ukrainian officials will hold an online meeting on Thursday to continue discussions on specific parts of the US peace plan.

New version of the peace plan

A few days ago, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the leaders of the UK, Germany, and France in London.

After the talks, he said that national security advisers from the four countries were working on the latest version of the US peace plan, which was brought by Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.

It was planned that Ukraine and Europe would develop an updated version of the document with their vision of how to end the war.

Earlier, the Ukrainian president emphasized that the updated peace plan would be submitted to the US in the near future. Its contents remain secret.
