Russia was allegedly attacked by an unidentified drone, which was reportedly destroyed in the Moscow region early on December 14, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
"The attack of the drone flying towards Moscow was repelled by air defense forces in the Naro-Fominsk urban district. At the crash site, there are, according to preliminary data, no destruction or casualties. Emergency services experts are working at the scene," said Sobyanin.
Naro-Fominsk is located just over 80 kilometers from the Russian capital.

Explosions in Russia
On the night of November 26, explosions were heard in the Moscow region, Tula, and some other regions of the Russian Federation. Russians immediately claimed a drone attack and alleged the operation of air defense systems.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that air defense forces had allegedly destroyed 11 kamikaze drones in four regions. The Moscow region governor stated that they had supposedly intercepted as many as 5 drones, while in the Bryansk region, they claimed to have downed 4.
Tula was particularly affected, and the governor of the Tula region, Alexey Dyumin, stated that air defense systems had allegedly shot down two drones in Tula. However, one drone crashed into an apartment on the 12th floor of a residential building.
Prior to these incidents, Ukraine's Military Intelligence warned residents of Moscow and other Russian cities that drone attacks would become more frequent.
