Russia attacks port and apartment building in Izmail overnight, injuries reported
On the night of July 24, Russian troops attacked Izmail, Odesa region, with drones. The port was damaged, and a house was hit, according to the Izmail District State Administration and Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper.
Russia massively shelled the port infrastructure in Izmail with drones.
“As a result of the Russian night attack, a five-story residential building in Izmail was hit. No one was killed, unfortunately, there are injured - three people were hospitalized,” the regional state administration says in a statement.

Victims' condition
According to Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, 2 of 3 victims were hospitalized in moderate condition, and another victim received medical care on the spot.
Consequences of Russian attack
The Russian shelling destroyed several buildings of the port infrastructure. Three trucks were damaged.
“A fire also broke out at the site, which was promptly extinguished by the State Emergency Service,” Kiper adds.

Russian shelling of Ukraine
Around midnight, an air alert was declared in Ukraine in many regions. The Ukrainian military warned of the threat of Russian drone attacks. In particular, Ukrainian air defense systems were deployed in the Kyiv region.
There were also explosions in Kharkiv, and the Russian occupiers shelled the city. On the morning of July 24, it became known that a person was killed in Kharkiv due to Russian shelling.
