Russia killed at least one person in a morning missile attack on Kharkiv, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

One of the Russian strikes was recorded in the area of the private sector, where a fire broke out in a house.

“There is information about one killed person. All relevant services are working at the sites of the Russian,” the mayor says.

He clarifies that according to preliminary data, Russia struck Kharkiv with S-300 missiles.

As for the first Russian strike on Kharkiv during the attack hit the industrial zone of one of the city's districts, Terekhov says.

In turn, the Kharkiv region governor, Oleh Syniehubov, says that Russian strikes were recorded at several addresses in Kharkiv.

A private house is burning. Information about the victims is being clarified,” the official says.

Consequences

Later, the head of the Kharkiv region governor Sinehubov clarified the data on Russian strikes on Kharkiv and the region:

  • at 5:15 a.m., the Russian occupiers attacked the Nemyshlyanskyi district, where a non-residential building and at least 5 cars were damaged. There were no casualties.
  • at 5:25 a.m., a Russian rocket attack struck a private residential building, causing a fire.
  • at about 5 a.m., Russia hit the Malodanylivka community with a Shahed, a fire broke out in a stable, and 2 civilians were injured and received medical care on the spot.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine added that an industrial building was destroyed in Kharkiv and cars were damaged.

Investigative teams, explosive ordnance disposal specialists, rescuers, and medics are working at the scene.

Early in the morning, explosions were heard in Kharkiv. Before that, the Ukrainian Air Force Command warned of a ballistic missile threat from the east.

Later, it became known that in addition to the strikes in the city of Kharkiv, the village of Lisne in the Malodanylivka community of the Kharkiv district also came under Russian attack. A civilian building was damaged there, and a fire broke out. At least one person was reported injured.

In addition, an explosion in the suburbs of Kharkiv was reported earlier at about 1 am.
