Russia launched a combined strike on Ukraine during the night of January 18. The occupiers fired four rockets and 39 drones, according to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

Russia launched drone strikes from three directions: Millerovo, Bryansk, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk. Additionally, the enemy used four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, launched from the Voronezh and Bryansk regions.

As of 8:00 AM, two missiles were shot down in Kyiv region, and 24 drones were intercepted. Air defense systems were active in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Donetsk regions.

Another 14 enemy imitator drones were lost without causing harm.

Consequences of the Russian attack

According to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the downed ballistic missiles fell in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv. A production facility was partially destroyed, and buildings, metro entrances, vehicles, and a main water pipeline were damaged.

Additionally, the enemy struck a business in Zaporizhzhia with a ballistic missile, damaging buildings and vehicles. Eight people were reported injured, and two are missing.
