Romania’s president to visit Kyiv, visit officially announced

Romanian President Nicușor Dan plans to visit Kyiv this fall at the invitation of his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to his Twitter.
“I accepted President Zelenskyy's invitation to pay a visit to Kyiv this autumn,” he wrote.
He also emphasized the need for a lasting peace in Ukraine and an end to Russia’s daily shelling.
Dan noted that Romania supports the efforts of US President Donald Trump toward a ceasefire, but peace must be achieved at the negotiating table with Ukraine.
“An agreement must be just, long-lasting and sustainable. Romania supports the sovereignity, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. As neighbor and partner, Romania will continue to stand with Ukraine in all efforts to reach a just peace for the people of Ukraine,” the Romanian president wrote.
According to him, Ukraine’s security is closely linked to the security of the Black Sea region and Europe as a whole.
Earlier, we reported that in early August, Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania agreed to create a regional cyber alliance. This alliance will help these countries combat cyber threats generated by the Russian regime.
Recently, Romanian Foreign Minister Oana-Silvia Țoiu visited Kyiv. She held a series of meetings and also visited the children’s hospital, Okhmatdyt, which Russia attacked over a year ago.
