Over the past day, the occupiers have attacked positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), attempting to regain previously lost positions in the areas of Andriivka, Robotyne, and Klishchiivka, according to Andriy Kovaliov, the spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Bakhmut direction

Per the spokesperson, the defense forces continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. They are inflicting significant losses on the enemy in personnel and equipment while consolidating their positions.

"On the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area of Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy attempted to regain their lost positions in the area of Andriivka in the Donetsk region but was unsuccessful," Kovaliov noted.

Melitopol direction

The defense forces continue to hold their positions in the occupied territory, inflicting losses on the occupying troops and equipment while weakening the enemy.

"On the Melitopol direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Robitne in the Zaporizhzhia region, attempting to regain their lost positions," the spokesperson added.

Maryinka direction

Ukraine's defense forces are successfully deterring the Russian forces' advance on the Maryinka direction. Over the past day, the enemy carried out approximately ten unsuccessful attempts to displace our units from their positions in the Marinka area of the Donetsk region.

Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions

Meanwhile, on the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, Ukraine's defense forces continue to maintain the initiative, pressuring the enemy and gradually reclaiming Ukrainian territory. There were 35 combat engagements during the past day.

Liberation of Andriivka, Klishchiivka, and Robotyne

On September 17, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated Klishchiivka near Bakhmut. On Monday, September 18, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar confirmed the liberation of Klishchiivka.

On September 14, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar announced that Ukrainian forces had liberated the village of Andriivka in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region from Russian occupiers. Assault troops confirmed this information on September 15. On September 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces raised the Ukrainian flag over Andriivka.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported the liberation of Robitne in the Zaporizhzhia region at the end of August.
