Armed Forces raise Ukrainian flag over liberated Andriivka in Donetsk region: Video
Ukrainian military raised the national flag over the liberated village of Andriivka in the Donetsk region, according to the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.
"The Ukrainian flag has been raised over the settlement of Andriivka! It was recaptured by units of the Third Separate Assault Brigade," the soldiers reported.
Occupiers are still attempting to storm the settlement and constantly subject it to shelling.
Liberation of Andriivka
On September 14, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar announced that Ukrainian defenders had liberated Andriivka. However, this information was later refuted by the fighters of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, emphasizing that the battles for the settlement were still ongoing.
But the next day, the unit confirmed the de-occupation of Andriivka. The military also shared videos of the battles for the settlement.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the liberation of the settlement is a significant and necessary result for Ukraine in the Bakhmut direction.
