Zelenskyy on Andriivka deoccupation: Significant and much-needed result for Ukraine
The liberation of the village of Andriivka in the Donetsk region from Russian occupiers is a highly necessary outcome for Ukraine, according to the evening address of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"There is a significant and much-needed result for Ukraine in the Bakhmut direction: our soldiers have liberated Andriivka. The 3rd Assault, all forces involved, the headquarters, Commander General Syrskii (Commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskii - Ed.) - guys, thank you all," said the head of the state.
He also mentions that active actions of Ukrainian defenders continue in the areas of Klishchiivka and Kurdiumivka. At the same time, the 36th Separate Marine Brigade is operating powerfully in the areas of Opytne and Vodiane.
"The Verbove area - our unwavering soldiers, thank you! Novoprokopiivka area - well done! I am proud of all the soldiers who are bringing our victory closer," Zelenskyy added.
Deoccupation of Andriivka
Recall that on September 14, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar stated that Ukrainian defenders had allegedly completely liberated Andriivka from the Russians.
Later, fighters from the third separate assault brigade refuted this information. They emphasized that the battles for the settlement were ongoing.
Today, the unit confirmed that Andriivka had been deoccupied.
