Residents of Ukraine's Sumy district left without electricity due to Russian attack

Part of the Sumy district is left without electricity due to attacks by Russian forces, according to a post by Sumyoblenergo (Ukrainian Joint-Stock Company that acts as a supplier and distributor of electricity to the population and legal entities in the Sumy region - ed.) on Telegram.
It is noted that Russia's military aggression has caused a power outage in part of the Sumy district.
Currently, energy workers are working to restore electricity.
Strikes on the Sumy region
On Wednesday, October 8, the aggressor country carried out an attack on Sumy using drones. One of the drones hit a residential high-rise building.
The first explosion occurred in the Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy — the attack caused a fire in a non-residential building, and private houses were also damaged. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.
The second strike was in the Zarichnyi district, where a drone hit the roof of a residential high-rise building.
Earlier, Russian troops struck a residential building in the village of Krasnopil community in the Sumy region. As a result of this enemy attack, an entire family was affected, and a 4-year-old girl suffered severe burns.
RBC-Ukraine previously reported that on October 8, Russia also struck an energy workers’ vehicle in the city of Bilopillia, Sumy region.
According to Sumyoblenergo, the energy workers were not in the vehicle at the time of the attack, so no one was injured.
