Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he had rejected part of the US peace proposals regarding Ukraine, and that the American peace plan now consists of 27 points divided into four packages, according to a statement by Putin cited by Russian media.

In particular, the Russian president stated that the meeting with US President Donald Trump's special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, lasted a long time because the United States proposed going through each point of the peace proposals. According to him, it was a "useful and necessary meeting.''

Putin also said that from now on, the peace plan contains as many as 27 points. According to him, the American side supposedly "divided the 27 points of its plan into four separate packages and proposed discussing them one by one.''

At the same time, Russia rejected part of the US peace proposals, according to the president. He did not specify which proposals these were.

"Russia did not agree with some points of the US peace proposals on Ukraine, but this is difficult work," he said.

In this interview, Putin publicly fantasized that Russia would ''by any means'' seize Donbas as well as the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine. The president cynically stated that Kyiv had supposedly "chosen to fight.''

Witkoff and Kushner arrived in Moscow on December 2 to discuss the revised document with Vladimir Putin. The meeting lasted five hours, after which Putin's aide, Yuri Ushakov, stated that no compromise had yet been reached, but that the sides were ready to continue working.

Ushakov's wording was perceived as Putin's rejection of the US peace plan. However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed the next day that this was supposedly not the case.
