Russia strikes US company’s factory in Ukraine: Casualties rising
On the night of August 21, Russians attacked the Zakarpattia region with missiles. The targets included a US-owned household appliance factory in Mukachevo, according to the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration head Myroslav Biletskyi, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
As a result of the attack, 23 people were injured. After examination, six patients remain in hospital for inpatient treatment.
Media reveal Putin’s latest demands for ending war against Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin has put forward new demands for ending the war against Ukraine, Reuters reports.
According to sources familiar with the Kremlin’s position, Putin’s new proposal insists that Kyiv withdraw its forces from the parts of Donbas that are still under Ukrainian control. In return, Moscow is ready to freeze the current front line in the south, in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
At the same time, Russia has reportedly agreed to give up small areas in Kharkiv, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions that it currently occupies.
Ukrainian forces strike fuel train supplying Russian troops in Crimea
On the night of August 21, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully struck the Russian rolling stock with fuel and lubricants near Dzhankoy, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Special operation: disrupting the Russian logistics in temporarily occupied Crimea," the military explains.
According to the General Staff, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out special operations near the Dzhankoy railway station.
Trump slams Biden over hesitation to let Ukraine strike Russian territory
US President Donald Trump criticized his predecessor, Joe Biden, for delaying permission for Ukraine to use American weapons deep inside Russia, according to Trump's statement on TruthSocial.
"It is very hard, if not impossible, to win a war without attacking an invaders country. It’s like a great team in sports that has a fantastic defense, but is not allowed to play offense. There is no chance of winning!" Trump noted.
Likewise, according to the US leader, the same applies to Ukraine and Russia.
"Crooked and grossly incompetent Joe Biden would not let Ukraine FIGHT BACK, only DEFEND. How did that work out? Regardless, this is a war that would have NEVER happened if I were President - ZERO CHANCE. Interesting times ahead!!!" the US President emphasized.
Ukraine confirms strikes on Russian Novoshakhtinsk oil plant and other critical sites
Overnight explosions were reported at the Novoshakhtinsk oil plant in Rostov and a fuel depot in the Voronezh region. A drone storage facility and a logistics base of the Russian army in occupied Donetsk were also hit, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of August 21, units of the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with other defense components, struck the Novoshakhtinsk oil products plant in the Rostov region. It is one of the main fuel suppliers for southern Russia and supports the aggressor’s military units.
