Russia strikes US company’s factory in Ukraine: Casualties rising

Last night, Russians attacked the Zakarpattia region with missiles. The targets included a US-owned household appliance factory in Mukachevo, according to the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration head Myroslav Biletskyi, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to Biletskyi, two Kalibr missiles struck the facility at around 4:40 a.m. Kyiv time. 12 employees were injured in the Russian attack and all were hospitalized. 2 of them are in serious condition, while the rest suffered moderate injuries.
The State Emergency Service specified that at least 15 people were injured in total. A large fire broke out on the territory of the plant, covering an area of about 7,000 square meters. Rescuers continue to extinguish the fire, and the situation is under control.
As explained by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, a large American electronics manufacturer was targeted.
He stresses that the facility is entirely civilian and has no connection to military infrastructure.
"This is not the first Russian attack on American businesses in Ukraine, after strikes on Boeing offices in Kyiv earlier this year and other attacks," Sybiha says.
